We are a COVID-19 Testing Facility

Having trouble controlling your blood pressure?

We are looking for subjects affected by uncontrolled hypertension to participate in a research study to investigate a possible new treatment.

What is hypertension?

According to the CDC, high blood pressure, also called hypertension, is blood pressure that is higher than normal. Your blood pressure changes throughout the day based on your activities. Having blood pressure measures consistently above normal may result in a diagnosis of high blood pressure (or hypertension). The higher your blood pressure levels, the more risk you have for other health problems, such as heart disease, heart attack, and stroke.

What’s the clinical trial about?

This is a Phase 2 research study looking into the effectiveness and safety of an investigational medication called Lorundrostat™.  Lorundrostat™ has been studied in previous clinical trials which suggests it might be a good treatment for people with uncontrolled hypertension.

What will I need to do to participate?

Study participation will last up to 5 months, with a total of 9 visits to the medical clinic. You will be provided with a bottle that contains 30 tablets of the study drug. The tablets will be either Lorundrostat™ or placebo tablets that look like Lorundrostat™ but contain no drug. You will take 2 tablets of Lorundrostat™ or placebo by mouth once daily at approximately the same time each morning.

Will I be compensated for this study?

This study will compensate each participant $75.00 for every completed study visit until the end of the study or withdrawal. Being involved in our clinical trial won’t cost you anything. All trial-related costs above your usual care will be free. And don’t let transportation costs put you off – we’re happy to discuss covering any transportation expenses you may need to participate in the study.

What is a placebo?

A placebo is something that looks identical to the treatment that’s being investigated but doesn’t contain any active medication. The reason we give some participants a placebo is so we can compare the results of people who’ve taken Lorundrostat™ with other people who’ve been through exactly the same process. It helps us ensure that any results we measure in this clinical trial are due to Lorundrostat™ and not for any other reason.

May I withdraw my participation?

Yes, you have the right to withdraw your study participation at any time and for any reason and
will be removed from the study upon request.
